Senior Group Manager, Marketing
Kate Fabian is the marketing lead for the Genesis brand in the U.S. In this role, she drives brand appeal for Genesis, and leads the marketing strategy across the brand and entire product portfolio.
She has nearly two decades of experience in strategic planning and the execution of multiple brands, product and retail communications for blue chip clients. She has more than seven years of experience working for Hyundai and was most recently the Brand Communications Manager for Hyundai Motor Company Australia from 2011-2016. In this position, she launched every model within the Australia portfolio, along with managing key sponsorships and activations, as well as led the introduction and implementation of marketing automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of CRM and digital marketing investments.
In addition, Fabian was the Group Business Director at INNOCEAN Worldwide, the marketing firm of Hyundai Motor Company Australia from 2009-2010. In this role, she developed a new strategic platform for Hyundai Motor Company Australia, from which three new models successfully launched – ix35, i45 and i20. She also spearheaded all retail communication for Hyundai at the national and dealer levels in the Australian market. Additionally, she led all communications associated with Hyundai Motor Company Australia’s sports sponsorships and community associations.
Before her work for Hyundai, she was the Business Director at Leo Burnett Sydney, the advertising firm of Subaru Australia from 2008-2009. Her key responsibilities included the planning and development of a new strategic brand platform, “All 4 the Driver”, and managing the new model launch communications across all mediums.
She also held positions at advertising firms Ogilvy and Mather, and George Patterson Y&R. Furthermore, Fabian has experience working for international sporting federations, including the 2003 Pan American Games, 2002 Commonwealth Games and 2001 Sydney Olympics.
Fabian received her Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and management from the University of Wollongong, Australia. She also received her diploma in direct marketing from George Patterson Bates, and diploma in television planning and buying from Zenith Media College.
